Just jump on the Crystal coach and join one of the complimentary excursions. More of a fan of a leisurely breakfast and a casual wander around town? Grab yourself a map from reception and create your own tour, you’re likely to be docked within walking distance of the main sights.

Whatever you like to do on holiday – lay ins and spa treatments; sightseeing and local dining or shopping and memory making – read on to find out why a Crystal River Cruise is the best place to start when planning your next holiday

Introducing the fleet…

Crystal’s fleet of 5 all-suite river ships awaits your arrival, ready to transport you into the heart of legendary capitals and enchanting landscapes in sheer elegance. Sister ships, the Rhine Class Crystal Bach, Crystal Debussy, Crystal Ravel and Crystal Mahler welcome just 106 guests whilst Crystal Mozart, the Queen of the Danube, welcomes 154 – far fewer guests than similar-sized ships. These are ships of stunning design with unrivalled expansive social spaces and the largest suites in European river cruising, each a state-of-the-art sanctuary.

Your Suite…

Each suite onboard the Crystal River Cruises fleet will be your home in the heart of Europe. Enjoy plush king-sized beds piled high with sumptuous Egyptian cotton linens and pillows of your choice, spacious walk-in wardrobes in most suites and well-appointed bathrooms offering double vanity sinks, walk in showers and amenities from French skincare brand Caudalie. Your bedside iPad directory allows you to order breakfast in bed, from bed, as well as make your shore excursion reservations whilst the interactive TV offers on-demand movies, TV and music. All suites are furnished with an Inspresso coffee machine, as well as a mini fridge stocked with soft drinks, beer and wine – they’ll also be a welcome bottle of champagne waiting for you, perfectly chilled, when you embark. Each suite onboard the four Rhine-class ships features a full height, floor to ceiling window which, at the touch of a button, drops the top half to form a French balcony. And don’t forget that your personal Butler is there to look after your every whim… For an extra special treat, upgrade to the two-bedroom Crystal Suite where up to five pampered guests can relish in an expansive suite featuring two deluxe bedrooms with en-suite baths, living and dining areas, and suite-wide triple Panoramic Balcony-window

Dining…

Travellers with a penchant for fine food and wine will enjoy a culinary journey that is simply exceptional. A legion of award-winning chefs prepares both classic and regionally-inspired menus to create an exciting new culinary experience every new day of your voyage. Waterside is the open-seating main restaurant. Featuring menus of Michelin-inspired modern cuisine served alongside creative dishes showcasing authentic flavours of regions explored. The Bistro is the deliciously popular Viennese-style café serving custom coffees, charcuterie and light snacks throughout the day; by evening, the space transforms into a tapas-style venue for dinner. The Vintage Room offers exclusive and indulgent optional wine-themed dinners and lunches. This private dining room pairs custom menus with an acclaimed collection of the world’s finest wines and champagnes. The Pantry is your 24-hour one-stop-shop for light snacks and drinks and Blue Bar & Grill, exclusive to Crystal Mozart, is a laid-back lunchtime café serving upscale bistro fare including delicious burgers and sandwiches

Enriching Pursuits onboard…

Your time onboard is yours to fill or not, as you wish, whether you want to join a stimulating lecture or an on-deck yoga class or prefer to relax in the spa or with a book and a coffee, just pick your spot. Palm Court is the social heart of each ship, hosted by experienced friendly bartenders who share a love of travel. Offering lectures and scenic cruising during the day and local entertainment or music from our resident pianist in the evening. Vista Bar is the pop-up bar in the open-air top deck of each ship – another Crystal exclusive – perfect for cocktails, conversation and scenic views as well as movies under the stars and sports matches. Relaxation can be found in the Library area on each ship where you can enjoy a coffee and a new book, or up on the open Vista deck, on one of the comfortable deck-chairs or loungers. To ease away any tension, book yourself into the Crystal Life Spa and enjoy a rejuvenating massage or facial as well as the heated indoor pool and relaxation area, whilst the Fitness Centre offers state-of-the-art equipment if you are feeling a bit more active

Discovery Ashore…

Each Crystal River cruise is designed to offer the best travel experiences leading you into new worlds, well beyond anything read in guidebooks or shared on a typical tour. With most itineraries offering multiple overnights and extended stays in fascinating cities, you can customise your time ashore with our unmatched Crystal Destination Discoveries excursions – over 225 of which are offered complimentary. There is a dedicated team of up to three Destination Specialists on every ship to assist with your planning, as well as to bring the destinations you are visiting to life with lectures and hosted Vintage Room lunches. Crystal’s very own fleet of luxury motor coaches feature complimentary Wi-Fi and spacious seating and ensure your tours are as comfortable as possible. Inclusive excursions are themed around Cultural Discovery – tours that provide a deeper understanding of a destination’s history, culture and people with visits to iconic landmarks and UNESCO World Heritage sites; Tantalising Gastronomy – offering cooking classes and wine tasting to immerse you in the culinary nuances of a destination; Personal Connections – these experiences are hosted by locals who welcome you into their homes, businesses and lives, allowing you to discover a destination through the eyes of its residents; and Exhilarating Adventures – for the adrenaline lovers amongst you with biking along scenic paths past quaint villages and castles, hiking into forests amidst the local flora and fauna. Add to this a choice of optional excursions such as flight-seeing over the Alps or speed boating down the Danube or Design Your Time private excursions. The added bonus? All of the tours you wish to take can be pre-booked before you even board the ship

Where they sail…

Carefully crafted itineraries follow the Danube, Rhine, Main & Moselle rivers, venturing into the heart of iconic destinations adorned with castles and palaces, vineyards and forests, monuments and art. From close to home itineraries in the Netherlands including springtime sailings to the tulip fields outside Amsterdam, to those travelling further afield sailing from Vienna through to Slovakia and Hungary.
