If you are cruising on either of our ocean ships – Crystal Symphony or Crystal Serenity – here are some insider secrets to enhance your voyage
If you love to sunbathe, but don’t want to sit around the pool, make your way up to the Sundeck (Deck 12 on Crystal Symphony/Deck 13 on Crystal Serenity) where you’ll find extra sun-loungers dotted around for you to relax in almost solitude – Don’t worry though, the Crystal Deck crew will still ensure your drink is topped up!
You may have read about our fantastic ice-cream bar Scoops, where you can enjoy your fill of Ben & Jerry’s ice-cream, or, if you have sailed with us, you may even have worked your way through most of the flavours on offer, but, if you ask nicely, the Scoops attendant can make you a milkshake from your favourite flavour! Our team favourites? Chocolate Fudge Brownie & Peanut Butter Cup – delicious!
Another secret spot on both of our ships are a haven of tranquillity. At the very aft of decks 9 & 10 (plus deck 11 onboard Crystal Serenity) you will find sun-loungers, perfect for chilling out in peace – you will rarely find anyone else sitting there. It’s especially great if you are staying in a window stateroom – a bit of secluded outside space where you can read a book or just enjoy the sunshine or sea views
Sailing onboard our exclusive boutique yacht, Crystal Esprit, is almost a secret in itself that only 62 lucky guests get to experience, but, there are some extra tips we can give you to make your voyage extra special
Whilst you are spoilt for choice when dining aboard Crystal Esprit, sometimes you just need a little snack to tide you over until dinner or to munch just before you go ashore, well look no further than The Pantry. Located just next to Reception, The Pantry is your go to for a quick coffee or snack – our top tip is to try the treats in the Jar of the Day. Every day, a different bite size snack will be in the jar to surprise
Make your evening extra special, and ask the team to set up your dining table on the outside terrace. What could be more memorable than dining under the stars on a beautiful evening in the Mediterranean*
If you’re an avid cookery show fan, ask for your table in the Yacht Club Restaurant to be near to the open kitchen so you can spy on our team of chefs. In certain ports, you can even join our head chef on a trip to the local food market, and pick up some top tips for your next dinner party.
Roaming Europe’s rivers in six-star luxury, you may wonder what insider tips we can give to make your trip even better. Well there are a few little things that can enhance your experience

Do you like to keep active on your holiday? Well, if you don’t want to just sit back and let the ship take you along the river, you can always arrange for a bike to be provided so that you can cycle along the bank to meet the ship at her next stop.
